Wimbledon 2022: Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, John Isner In Action As Friday Third Round Promises Spectacles

Djokovisc, Alcaraz, Sinner will be in action as the third round of Wimbledon 2022 starts on Friday.

Wimbledon 2022 will be in action on Friday, July 1, as these three matches in Men’s Singles third round hold a lot of promise and viewers will be turning in to watch these matches:

  1. Novak Djokovic (1) vs Miomir Kecmanovic (25)

Novak Djokovic will be in action today as the Serbian World Number 1 will be facing his compatriot Miomir Kecmanovic in Men’s Singles third round on Friday. Novak will be looking to carry his impeccable form as he takes on Kecmanovic, whereas Miomir will be aiming to pull off the improbable and knock his countryman out of Wimbledon 2022 to shock the world. Novak comes into this match after a straight-sets win over Kokkinakis in the second round, whereas Kecmanovic is coming off from a hard-fought win against the Chilean Tabilo in the second round. The match will be played on the Centre Court at 7:15 p.m. IST.

  1. Jannik Sinner (10) vs John Isner (20)

The Italian teen sensation, Jannik Sinner, will be facing the daunting task of getting better off John Isner, in the Men’s Singles third round event on Friday. The match will be an interesting piece to see because Sinner is currently ranked 10th and is on a fine run, whereas veteran John Isner is very well known for his resilience, endurance, and ability to play for hours as he holds the world record for the longest match ever played at the majors. Jannik Sinner comes into this match after a victory over Ymer in the second round, whereas Isner played the spoiler for the home crowd as he knocked the home crowd favourite and former two-time Wimbledon winner, Andy Murray, in the second round. The match will be played on Court 2 and will start at 6:45 p.m. IST.

  1. Oscar Otte (32) vs Carlos Alcaraz (5)

Carlos Alcaraz will be looking to make a statement as he faces German Oscar Otte in the Men’s Singles third-round event on Friday. The ATP Madrid and Barcelona winner will be aiming to add a grand slam title to his cabinet as the teen sensation’s meteoric rise in 2022 continues to flourish. Carlos is known for his incredible speed on-court and is coming off from an impressive straight-sets win over the Dutch Griekspoor in the second round, whereas Otte will be much fresher as he received a walkover from American Chris Harrison as he pulled out from the match in the second round. The match will be played on Court 1 at 8 p.m. IST.
