TNPL 2023: Sai Sudarshan Becomes Most Expensive Buy. Check Complete List Of All Squads

Tamil Nadu Premier League 2023: A total of 8 teams participated in first-ever TNPL auction and the total bid for each team was fixed at INR 70 lakhs.

TNPL auction all teams: The two-day auction to select players for Tamil Nadu state's local Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) came to an end on Friday with Sai Sudarshan and Sanjay Yadav emerging as the most expensive players. The inaugural auction for seventh edition of eight-team TNPL, organized on the lines of Indian Premier League (IPL) auction and moderated by Charu Sharma, took place at a Hotel in Mahabalipuram. Chennai's top-order batter Sai Sudarshan hit jackpot as he was the costliest in the first day's auction.

The 21-year-old talented youngster was acquired by Lyca Kovai Kings for a record amount of INR 21.6 lakhs. Sanjay Yadav too drew a big paycheck as he was bought for 17.6 lakhs by four-time winners Chepauk Super Gillies.

On day 2,  Kiran Aakash emerged as the most expensive buy.

A total of 8 teams participated in first-ever TNPL auction and the total bid for each team was fixed at INR 70 lakhs. In the previous six seasons, players were included in the teams through the draft process. TNPL 2023, the seventh edition of the T20 league, is likely to be held in June-July, this year.

Nellai Royal Kings: Ajitesh (retained), Karthik Manikandan (retained), Sandeep Warrier (8.25 lakh), Mohan Prasath S (3.4 lakhs), Sonu Yadav R (15.2 lakhs), Aswin Crist INR (2 lakh), Arun Karthik (12 lakh).

Idream Tirupur Tamizhans: Tushar Raheja (retained), Vijay Shankar (10.25 lakh), Ajith Ram (4.2 lakhs), Sai Kishore (13 lakhs), Anirudh Sitaram, NS Chaturved (8 lakhs).

Lyca Kovai Kings: Shahrukh Khan (retained), Suresh Kumar(retained), Sai Sudarshan (21.6 lakhs), M Siddharth, M Mohammed (10.6 lakh).

Dindigul Dragons: Ravichandran Ashwin(retained), Varun Chakravarthy (6.75 lakhs), Baba Indrajith (6 lakhs), Subodh Kumar Bhati (10.4 lakh), Saravana Kumar P (6.6 lakh).

Ballsy Trichy: Antony Dhas (retained), T. Natarajan (6.25 lakh), Daryl S Ferrario (4.4 lakh), Monish Satish (2 lakh), Athisayaraj Davidson (5.2 lakh).
