Sindhu wins China Open, defeats Sun Yu 21-11,17-21,21-11

New Delhi: Olympic silver medalist P V Sindhu defeated  Sun Yu of China 21-11, 17-21, 21-11 to clinch her maiden China Open Super Series. Sindhu displayed great determination and aggression throughout the game.  The Olympic silver medalist dominated the first half before letting the second game slip away from her. Sun Yu matched Sindhu’s aggression and pace to take home the second game. The 21-year-old Indian bounced back in the final game collecting 8 points on a trot but this time she refused to let the lead go. Sindhu showcased some fine performance on her way to the final. She defeated tough opponents to bring home the coveted Chine Open Super Series. Sun Yu is young Chinese Badminton player, who dominated the game throughout the year and currently ranked 9th. Only Indian to win China Open Super Series before PV SIndhu was Saina Nehwal  who achieved this feat in 2014.
