After Yusuf, Brother Irfan Pathan Tests Positive For COVID-19

Irfan Pathan is the fourth player from the India Legends squad after Sachin Tendulkar, Yusuf Pathan and S Badrinath, who recently participated in the Road Safety World Series and got infected with novel Coronavirus.

Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan on Monday tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. With this, he has become the fourth player from the India Legends squad after Sachin Tendulkar, Yusuf Pathan and S Badrinath, who recently participated in the Road Safety World Series and got infected with novel Coronavirus. He was also in the commentary box during India vs England ODI series.

Taking to Twitter, Irfan in a post said, "I have tested positive for COVID-19 with no symptoms and have isolated myself and quarantined at home. I would request those who came in contact with me in the recent past to please get themselves tested."

Wishing good health to his fans, he urged all to wear masks and maintain social distancing.

Earlier this week, Irfan's elder brother Yusuf Pathan had tested positive for the dreaded Coronavirus. However, unlike Irfan, Yusuf took to Twitter to inform that he has 'mild symptoms'. The 38-year-old, who recently had announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, also said that he had quarantined himself at home.

It is to be noted that Tendulkar, Yusuf Pathan, and S Badrinath, all three had shared the dressing room for India Legends in the recently-concluded Road Safety World Series. After returning from Raipur, members of the Indian Legends team were found to be infected with COVID-19.
