Talking about Rishabh Pant's performance in the World Test Championship final against New Zealand, the wicket-keeper batsman scored 4 runs in the first innings and 14 runs in the second innings. Unfortunately, team India had to face defeat in the historic WTC Final match by 8 wickets.

Under the captaincy of 32-year-old Virat Kohli, India failed to win an ICC tournament for third consecutive time.

India last won a major ICC tournament in the year 2013 i.e ICC Champions Trophy. The Indian cricket team is currently in England where they have to play a five-Test series against hosts English in August-September.
