Paralympics 2020: Devendra Jhahjaria Wins Silver, Sundar Gurjar Gets Bronze In Javelin Throw | India At 7 Medals
Jhajaria bagged the silver with his personal best throw of 64.35m while Sundar Singh Gujjar did it with a 64.01m long throw. Both of them were surpassed by the Sri Lankan with a 67.79m throw.
After Neeraj Chopra's glory in Olympic Games, the Javelin throw juggernaut continued in Paralympics as well. India's Devendra Jhajaria and Sundar Singh Gurjar secured silver and bronze medal positions respectively.
What a morning this has been for India! First a gold medal in shooting, then a silver in Discus Throw and now two medals in Javelin throw for India. India's medals tally has gone up to seven medals. India has won 4 medals this morning which is more than their entire record at the Rio Paralympic Games in 2016.
We can see the two Indian medalists celebrating with Dinesh Priyan of Sri Lanka who won the gold medal. Thus, it was an all Asian final with Sri Lanka taking gold and india winning silver and bronze.
