Tokyo Olympics: PM Stands Up, Claps During Indian Contingent's Entry In Opening Ceremony; Watch Video

Six-time world champion boxer MC Mary Kom and men's hockey team captain Manpreet Singh lead the Indian contingent at the opening ceremony

New Delhi: The Olympic Games have started in Japan’s capital Tokyo from today. In the spectacular opening ceremony held at the National Stadium, the Indian team entered at number 21. The PM, who was watching the live broadcast of this ceremony, stood on this occasion and encouraged them by applauding.  

Let us tell you that six-time world champion boxer MC Mary Kom and men's hockey team captain Manpreet Singh led the Indian contingent in the opening ceremony at the Olympic Ceremony. Due to Coronavirus, 22 athletes from India attended this ceremony. With them, 6 officers were also present in the ceremony. 

Significantly, due to the Coronavirus epidemic, the Olympic Games were postponed for a year. But after a year, the Olympic Games are being played in the Kovid 19 epidemic with a delay.

Archery will start India's campaign

125 players are participating in the Tokyo Olympics from India. On the first day of the Olympic Games, India's archery and boxing players will enter the field. India's star archer Deepika Kumari is also trying her luck on Day 1. India is expecting a gold medal from Deepika Kumari. 

Apart from this, Tarundeep Rai, Atanu Das and Praveen Jadhav are also going to present from India in archery. On the first day of the Olympic Games, three Indian boxers Lovlina, Vikas Krishnan and Satish Kumar will participate in separate events.
