Men's Hockey Team Receive Their Medals At The Same Time As Neeraj Chopra Wins Silver In Paris Olympics — WATCH

Paris Olympics 2024: Two medals received by India with contrasting emotions, as the Men's Hockey Team and Neeraj Chopra add to India's tally at this year's Games. WATCH.

Paris Olympics 2024: A day that truly defined India's most productive 24 hours at Paris Olympics 2024, as the nation won a sliver medal and a bronze medal to take it's tally to 5 medals at this year's Games. However, both the medals carried a contrasting emotion, as the Men's Hockey Team was joyous to receive their bronze medal, which also marked PR Sreejesh's last-ever international medal, as he is retiring now with immediate effect.

However, same cannot be said for Neeraj Chopra, as he was India's biggest hope for Gold medal at Paris Olympics 2024, but ended up bagging silver medal, with Arshad Nadeem breaking the all-time Olympics record to secure the Gold medal for Pakistan.

PM Modi's Special Message For 'Silver-Medalist' Neeraj Chopra

Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, has congratulated Neeraj Chopra on his achievement, as the Indian athlete now joins Sushil Kumar and PV Sindhu as the third-Indian athlete (post-independence era) to win a medal in successive Olympic Games.

"Neeraj Chopra is excellence personified! Time and again he’s shown his brilliance. India is elated that he comes back with yet another Olympic success. Congratulations to him on winning the Silver. He will continue to motivate countless upcoming athletes to pursue their dreams and make our nation proud," wrote PM Modi on his official 'X' account.
