Manu Bhaker wins bronze at Paris Olympics 2024: Manu Bhaker made history as she officially starts India's medal tally at Paris 2024 Olympics. The ace shooter clinched a bronze medal in women's 10m air pistol final on Sunday, July 28.
Bhaker became the first Indian to win an Olympic medal in women's shooting. Despite a superb final shot, she missed out on silver by just 0.1 points. After 20 shots in the women's 10m air pistol final, Manu Bhaker secured a bronze medal with a score of 201.3.
The gold medal was won by Korea's Oh Ye Jin with an Olympic record score of 243.2. The silver also went to Korea, with Kim Yeji scoring 241.3. Manu Bhaker secured the bronze with a final score of 221.7.
Bhaker made it to the finals of women's 10 meter air pistol event by finishing third in the qualifying round with a total score of 580 points from 60 shots. In the qualifying round, her series scores were: 97 in the first, 97 in the second, 98 in the third, 96 in the fourth, 96 in the fifth, and 96 in the sixth.
