'From Elbow Brace To Medal': Olympian Neeraj Chopra Thanks His Doctor In An Emotional Post

In an Instagram post, Neeraj Chopra expressed his gratitude towards all those who were on his side "throughout the past two years." Check it out below.

India's first Olympic gold medal winner in athletics, Neeraj Chopra, has come out to express his gratitude towards his coach and medical team. Chopra had suffered an elbow injury in 2019. Getting injured in 2019 to winning the gold medal in Javelin Throw for India, is a big achievement for the Haryana boy. 

In an Instagram post, Neeraj Chopra expressed his gratitude towards all those who were on his side "throughout the past two years." He chose the occasion of India's 75th Independence day to thank all the medical support staff.

In the Instagram post, Neeraj wrote: "From May 2019 to today; from an elbow brace to a medal in my hand--it has been quite the journey! I am grateful for Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala’s medical support and my team (coach @bartonietz and physio @ishaanphysio ) who have been by my side throughout the past 2 years. I hope this medal can inspire all those who are facing tough times in their lives to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Happy #IndependenceDay, Jai Hind!"

Neeraj Chopra, in his post also hoped that his medal would inspire people to get over the "tough times". 

Neeraj Chopra's coach, Germany's Klaus Bartonietz in a recent interview with PTI spoke about the kind of training modules that he had to follow with Neeraj Chopra. Chopra secured the gold medal with a throw of 87.58 meters. Neeraj also thanked the German coach in his post.
