RR Vs RCB: Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar reflects on his side's emphatic win over Rajasthan Royals, as they continue their unbeaten 'away' run in IPL 2025.
RCB's 9-wicket win over RR was their 4th away win of the season, and the franchise are yet to win at home this season.
"I think it was really amazing. The bowlers executed their plans nicely, it was amazing to see. [Any target they had in mind] I don't think so. The way we bowled in the bowling powerplay was special, the pitch wasn't easy to bat. We were targeting around 150-170," said Rajat Patidar.
"[On bowlers] I think, I get confidence from my bowlers. They are ready to bowl at any stage and on any surface. I really enjoyed his (Phil Salt) batting. The way VK bhai rotated the strike was special as well," said the Royal Challengers Bengaluru Captain.
"[On taking confidence to the next venue] Yeah, but I think we are a team that doesn't look at the venue. We rely on playing positive cricket," he added.
Sanju Samson Reacts On RR's Thumping Defeat
Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals Captain):
"Yes absolutely. After losing the toss and putting into bat. The first 10 overs are a bit tough to bat here in day games but I felt, 170 odd was a really good score on the board to defend but they had a really good powerplay. Salt and Virat bhai were brilliant in the powerplay. I think they took the game away from us in the powerplay."
"I think catches win you matches. They also dropped our catches and we also dropped their catches. I feel that's okay. I feel we should give credit to RCB as they batted really well. Toss was crucial today but they were really good."
"People have been really honest in our team meetings as they have raised their hands and accepted the mistakes which were done. We will look to improve and make a strong comeback. We will have to review this game and comeback stronger with a lot of confidence."
