Venkatesh Iyer is now second Kolkata Knight Riders batter to score a century in IPL. Before him, KKR's Brendon McCullum had notched up a ton in the year 2008.
With wicket falling at regular interval from one end, Iyer batted with great composure to stitch a solid 48-run stand for second wicket with Rahmanullah Gurbaz (8), 50 runs for the fourth wicket with Shardul Thakur (14) and 36 for the fifth wicket with Rinku Singh (18).
However, Iyer's ton went in vain as Mumbai chased down the mammoth target to win MI vs KKR IPL 2023 match by 5 wickets.
