IPL Mega Auction 2022: The mega auction of IPL 2022 is underway in Bengaluru. On the second day, England's Liam Livingstone was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 11.50 crore.

IPL Mega Auction 2022: The IPL 2022 mega auction is underway in Bengaluru. The second day of the mega auction saw an interesting battle for England's spin all-rounder Liam Livingstone. For this explosive batsman with a base price of one crore, there was a tough fight between Kolkata knight riders, Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. 

However, in the end, Punjab Kings bought the big-hitting batsman for Rs 11.50 crore.

Liam Livingstone has also played for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL earlier. Before Livingstone, Ben Stokes happened to be the most expensive English player to be sold in the IPL. 

Ajinkya Rahane sold at base price

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad bought South Africa's middle-order batsman Adam Markram for Rs 2.60 crore. At the same time, Kolkata Knight Riders bought Ajinkya Rahane for Rs 1 crore. Gujarat Titans bought Dominic Drakes for Rs 1.10 crore. Also, New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham did not find any buyers. Australian batsman Aaron Finch and Indian batsman Saurabh Tiwary remain unsold.

Mandeep Singh sold for Rs 1.10 crore

Earlier, Delhi Capitals bought Mandeep Singh for Rs 1.10 crore. At the same time, English explosive batsman Dawid Malan did not find any buyer in the auction. Kolkata Knight Riders bought Ajinkya Rahane for 1 crore. India's all-rounder Vijay Shankar was bought by Gujarat Titans for Rs 1.40 lakh.
