IPL 2025 Dates Announced: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly announced the dates for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season on November 22 (Friday). The 18th edition of the T20I extravaganza is scheduled to commence on March 14 and conclude on May 25 as per a ESPNcricinfo report. According to the tentative schedule, the 2025 Champions Trophy is set to conclude on March 9, with the IPL 2025 season set to begin shortly after in India. 

The BCCI has not only revealed the dates for the IPL 2025 season but for the next two seasons as well. According to the report, IPL 2026 season is set to take place from March 15 to May 31, while the 2027 edition is scheduled from March 14 to May 30. Although these dates are referred to as windows, the tournament is expected to proceed without significant changes to its schedule.

By the looks of it, the BCCI is probably planning to start the season early to allow players ample time to prepare for the World Test Championship (WTC) cycle 2023-25 final, scheduled for June 2025.

PCB Stands Firm Amid BCCI's Refusal To Travel For Champions Trophy

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has been marred with controversies as the BCCI informed the ICC that Team India would not travel to Pakistan for the tournament. The ICC conveyed this to the PCB, which expressed frustration and sought clarification. Despite the dispute, the PCB remains firm on hosting the tournament in Pakistan.
