Lunch Delicious Restaurant-Style Paneer Tikka Masala Recipe

Paneer Tikka Masala is a flavourful Indian dish featuring marinated, grilled paneer cubes simmered in a creamy, spiced tomato gravy. It's perfect with naan or rice for a restaurant-style meal at home.

Paneer Tikka Masala is one of the most popular and aromatic dishes in Indian cuisine. This rich and creamy dish consists of grilled paneer cubes that are marinated in a seasoned yogurt mixture and cooked in a tomato based velvety sauce. The cuisine is a vegetarian delight that is known for its bold, smoky flavours and a unique texture. It is a favourite in Indian restaurants around the country.

The preparation starts with a firm cottage cheese that absorbs the spices and flavours beautifully. The paneer cubes are marinated in a mixture that features yogurt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, cumin, garam masala, and more. The marination process gives the paneer a deep flavour and makes it soft and tasty. As soon as the paneer is marinated, you can grill, roast, or pan fry it to achieve a smoky essence in the dish.

The masala or gravy of the dish gives it the unique taste. The gravy is made from tomato puree, onions, and spices, and is fully cooked. Add cream or cashew paste to the dish for a luxurious and velvety texture. Adding cream or cashew paste to the dish balances the bold flavours of the spices added. The grilled paneer is then added to this aromatic gravy to allow the rich flavours to absorb.
