IPL 2024: MS Dhoni Spotted With Sticker Of His Childhood Friend's Shop's Name On Bat, Pictures Go Viral
IPL 2024: With the IPL just around the corner, MS Dhoni is gearing up for another packed cricketing season of the tournament.
MS Dhoni is gearing up for the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The former India captain may have announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020 but the wicketkeeper-batter continues to ply his trade for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the cash-rich league. He even led the team to a record-equalling fifth IPL title in 2023 and even though there were speculation that it could be his last season in the tournament, he announced that he would come back for one more season as a way of gratitude for his fans.
And now with the IPL just around the corner, Dhoni has already started practicing for another packed cricketing season of the tournament. In a recent practice session in Ranchi, Dhoni was apparently seen using a bat with a Prime Sports sticker, with several pictures going viral on social media. Prime Sports is the name of the sports shop which Dhoni's childhood friend Paramjit Singh owns and seems like the stumper is all set to endorse his company in what could be his final year in the T20 league. However, the authenticity of these pictures have not been independently verified.
For context, Paramjit had a pivotal role in Dhoni's cricketing journey and even helped the cricketer bag one of his initial bat sponsorship deal.

MS Dhoni To Lead CSK In IPL 2024
Meanwhile, 42-year-old cricketer is all set to lead CSK in yet another season of the IPL. This is in sharp contrast to Mumbai Indians (MI) who have replaced Rohit Sharma, their five-time IPL-winning skipper, with Hardik Pandya keeping in mind the future with Rohit set to turn 37 this year. CSK had also announced Ravindra Jadeja as Dhoni's successor as the captain but after the team did not get off to a good season, Jadeja stepped down with Dhoni back at the helm of affairs ever since.
