IPL 2020 Full Schedule: The tournament opener will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) on September 19. Eight teams will vie for the top honors and the coveted IPL title.

The highly awaited schedule for the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 has been officially released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on its official website. ALSO READ | IPL 2020 Schedule: Mumbai Indians Complete IPL 2020 Schedule As per the released fixtures, Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in the opening encounter of IPL 13 in Abu Dhabi. The thirteenth edition will be held from September 19 to November 10. The thirteenth season of the IPL will be played across three venues Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah over a period of 56 days. There will be 10 double headers with the first match starting at 3:30PM IST and 2:00PM UAE time. All evening matches will start at 7:30PM IST and 6:00PM UAE time. In all, 24 matches will be held in Dubai, 20 in Abu Dhabi and 12 in Sharjah. Venues for the playoffs and the Dream11 IPL 2020 final will be announced later. The thirteenth edition will witness a first of sorts with the high profile money-spinning league being held behind closed doors and in a biosecure environment amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Indian government gave its nod to the BCCI to stage the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League in the UAE after considering the ground scenario of the COVID pandemic in the nation. The IPL makes a return to the UAE for the second time since 2014 when a part of the tournament was held in the middle east nation due to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, BCCI has also shortlisted seven Indian commentators for IPL that starts from September 19 in the UAE. As per a report by Mumbai Mirror,  the seven commentators including Sunil Gavaskar, L Sivaramakrishnan, Murali Kartik, Deep Dasgupta, Anjum Chopra, Rohan Gavaskar, and Harsha Bhogle will leave for UAE on September 10.
