'I Could Not Have Made A Better Choice For RCB': Vijay Mallya On Buying Virat Kohli In IPL

IPL 2024: Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru owner Vijay Mallya has sparked buzz with his latest tweet, as the 68-year old has laid praise upon Virat Kohli and his impact on the side. Vijay Mallya was at the auction table for RCB in 2008, when he bought a young Virat Kohli, who was coming off a triumphant U-19 World Cup in the same year, and he calls it his best decision ever, and that, 'he could not have made better choices'.

The controversial businessman also added that his 'inner instinct' says that 'RCB have the best chance to go for the IPL Trophy' and wished them good luck ahead of the side's IPL 2024 Eliminator against Rajasthan Royals.

"When I bid for the RCB franchise and I bid for Virat, my inner instinct told me that I could not have made better choices. My inner instinct tells me that RCB have the best chance to go for the IPL Trophy. Onward and Upward. Best of luck," read the tweet of Vijay Mallya on his official 'X' account.
This is not the only instance Vijay Mallya showed his support to RCB, as the former owner has time and time again laid praise on the franchise whenever possible.
"Heartiest congratulations to RCB for qualifying in the top four and reaching the IPL playoffs. Great determination and skill have created a winning momentum after a disappointing start. Onward and upward towards the trophy," read Vijay Mallya's tweet.
