MI Vs RCB: Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya reflects on his side's performance, as they lose yet another nail-biter in IPL 2025. RCB ended their 10-year wait for a win against MI at the Wankhede Stadium, by handing them a 12-run defeat on Monday, April 6.

Speaking after the match, Hardik Pandya stated tha his side fell '2 hits short' off the target, and that, one should 'always be positive and never back down'.

Here's What Hardik Pandya Said During Post-Match Presentation Ceremony

Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians Captain):

"It was a run feast. The wicket was really good. I was just talking about that to myself. Again we fell short with 2 hits. I don't have much to say. The way the wicket was, the bowlers didn't really have much to hide. If someone has executed, you can't stop the batters. I don't want to be harsh on the bowlers as well. It was a tough track but maybe it was a difference of 10-12 runs."

"[Naman's change in batting order] The original skeleton of our team, Naman was always batting down the order. It's just in the last game, Ro was not available so we had to push someone up. Someone like him has a multi-dimensional game. Once Ro was back we knew that Naman had to come down."

"[On Tilak] Tilak was fantastic. Last game, a lot of things happened. But people don't know he took a nasty hit the previous day. It was a tactical call because of the finger which he had. The coach just felt that there was a better option because if someone fresh can come in and do it. Today I think he was fantastic."

"In this sort of games, powerplays are very crucial. Couple of overs we were not able to get in the middle. That put us a little back in the chase. They executed well in the death and we were not able to play those balls."

"[On Bumrah's comeback] Having him makes any team in the world really special and at the same point of time he came in and he did his job. Having him is always good and very very happy to have him."

"[Looking at the positive side] In life never back down. Always see the positive side of it. Go out there, try to play the best cricket of your life and back yourself. We aall are backing them. The team knows that and we just hope for the result to come our way."
