Ex-India Batting Coach Reunites With Rahul Dravid At RR's Coaching Staff Ahead Of IPL 2025
IPL 2025: Former India opener Vikram Rathour and Rahul Dravid will be working together again, this time at the RR franchise.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) have made a big announcement regarding an addition to their coaching staff. While the inaugural champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL) had recently welcomed Rahul Dravid back as its head coach, the team has now announced that former India opener Vikram Rathour will be their new batting coach in IPL 2025.
"Having worked closely with Vikram for many years, I can confidently say that his technical expertise, calm demeanour, and deep understanding of Indian conditions make him a perfect fit for the Royals. Together, we've built a strong rapport, guiding India to key successes, and I’m thrilled to reunite with him. His ability to nurture young talent and elevate players' potential will be invaluable as we aim to further strengthen our squad and continue building a world-class team here at Rajasthan Royals," Dravid said as per an official RR release.

Opportunity To Work Again With Rahul Dravid Is Exciting: Rathour
Rathour, an ex-India opener with 6 Tests and seven ODI caps to his name, is a respected coach in the Indian cricket circuit. Rathour is known for his technical brilliance and served as the Indian batting coach from 2019 to 2023. During his tenure, Rathour guided players like Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul among othe players. Rathour has even served as the national selector and was the coach of the Himachal and Punjab teams.
