New Delhi: Gujarat Titans, the newly added team to the 15th edition of the IPL, launched their new jersey on Sunday ahead of the league matches starting from March 26th. Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya was also present on the occasion. Apart from launching the jersey, Gujarat Titans also launched the team logo. BCCI secretary Jay Shah and Hardik Pandya pressed the buzzer to unveil the jersey in front of the public.
Apart from Hardik Pandya, the franchise had retained Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill as their three draft picks ahead of IPL mega auction. CVC Capitals bought Gujarat Titans for a jaw-dropping INR 5,625 crore, last year. Gujarat Titans had an underwhelming IPL auction this year despite having drafted three potential match-winners in Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill. It wasn't until the end of Day 2, that they picked a wicketkeeper. Eventually, they managed to acquire both Matthew Wade and Wriddhiman Saha, They bid heavily on Rahul Tewatia, who apart from that one innings and has not done anything noteworthy in IPL with either bat or ball.
