The match went into the Super Over after both teams were levelled at 201 in their allotted 20 overs. In the Super Over, MI managed only seven runs. Chasing, Kohli and AB de Villiers helped their side achieve the target off the final ball of the over. "I don't have words right now. It was such a roller-coaster game. I think they played really well and patiently in the middle. It went down to the wire; we tried to execute the things we wanted to. We've got a close victory and these little things on the field...we really want to focus on it," said Kohli after the game. Unfortunately, this season of the IPL franchise is turning out to the worst for Virat as his tally has just reached to 18 runs in the first three games - lowest total ever since the tournament started back in 2008. However, it is worth noting that the cricketers have been away from games and practice sessions ever since March 2020 due to the sudden outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic across the globe. Prior to the start of IPL 2020, Kohli had asserted on the fact that how important it will be for everyone to bag a good start owing to the fact that they have spent last five months in lockdown. After RCB's third match against Mumbai Indians, Kohli also said that fielding is something that the team needs to work on. Kohli's struggle with the bat has seen fans lose their calm with several rushing to social media to criticise or make fun of the Indian skipper. However, several former cricketers and experts believe that its just a part of a sportsman's life.
