Yadav's heroics helped India dethrone Pakistan as table-toppers in Group-2, with 8 points from 4 wins off 5 matches. He is the first Indian player to score 1000 runs in T20 format in a single calendar year. Also, when Surya completed his fifty in just 23 balls, he attained the milestone of scoring the fourth fastest fifty by an Indian in T20 World Cup history.
