This isn't the first time when Shubman has been teased with Sara chants. During a match of India's ODI series against New Zealand, spectators chanted "Humari bhabhi kaisi ho, Sara bhabhi jaisi ho" when the Indian opener was fielding near the boundary. Virat Kohli's priceless reaction to the entire incident was also captured by fans on camera.
Shubman finished the IND vs NZ ODIs as the Player of the Series. He scored 360 runs in this series to become joint-highest run-getter ever in a three-match ODI series.
Shubman Gill replaced under-fire KL Rahul in India XI for last two Tests. The youngster is among few Indian batters who have scored tons across formats (Test, ODI, T20I). In 13 Tests, Gill has so far scored 736 runs with one ton and 4 fifties.
At Stumps on Day 2, India (36/0) trailed Australia by 444 runs after having to bear the brunt of 480 runs.
For India to seal a spot in World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 Final, they need to produce at least a 3-0 or 3-1 win against Australia. India are 2-1 in the series after winning first two Tests.
