Both sides were in search of a much-needed win, as league leaders SSC Napoli won their fixture against Lecce, and carried a 5-point advantage up top.
Juventus came into this fixture after suffering their maiden defeat of the season across all competitions, with them losing 1-0 at home to VfB Stuttgart in their UEFA Champions League fixture.
Inter, on the other hand, were on a 5-match winning streak since their heartbreaking loss in the Milan Derby, and were looking hot-favourites in the Derby.
The match started off on an entertaining note, as the home side took the lead inside 15 minutes via a penalty kick, which was calmly converted by Piotr Zielinski.
However, things got really interesting when the visitors went on to score two quick goals in the space of 6 minutes, as goal from Dusan Vlahovic and Timothy Weah made it 2-1 for Juventus after 26 minutes.
The San Siro was stunned and shut by the visitors, until the 35th minute, when they found their voice again via a goal from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who made it 2-2 after playing a fantastic one-two with Marcus Thuram, and then went on to restore their one-goal advantage after they won yet another penalty, which was once again converted by Piotr Zielinski.
At half-time, Inter Milan were leading 3-2 and merely 8 minutes into the second-half, the Nerazzurri doubled their lead, as Denzel Dumfries capitalised of the defensive error of Juventus on the corner to make it 4-2.
Kenan Yildiz, who is enjoying a memorable season with 'Old Lady', scored a sensational 11-minute brace to make it 4-4 after 82 minutes, and there were no more additions in this goal fest, as the match ended in an entertaining stalemate.
