WTC 2023 Final Weather Update: Overcast Conditions At The Oval Throughout Five Days Of Ind Vs Aus

Currently, the United Kingdom is witnessing the summer season, with the average temperature jumping between 18 to 21 degrees Celsius

The high-octane ICC World Test Championship Final where India will battle Australia is set to happen on June 7 at the Kennington Oval in London. After facing several challenges, both teams finally made it into the finals of the summit clash. Since the game is just a day away from us, let’s not forget the influence of rain as English weather has always been unpredictable.

Currently, the United Kingdom is witnessing the summer season, with the average temperature jumping between 18 to 21 degrees Celsius. The weather forecast specifically for the period between June 7 and 12 seems to be more favorable than usual. The first day of the WTC final will see a bit of cloud but there are no chances of rain. During the second and third days, the weather is expected to be colder but again without any precipitation. Throughout the course of the five-day game, a cool breeze will likely to take place that will help swing bowlers in troubling the batters.

Talking about the finals, both teams have arrived already and have been going through rigorous training sessions. Fans will be expecting to see a big knock coming from the willow of Virat Kohli, who had a terrific IPL 2023 season. The former India skipper played 16 Test matches on English soil between 2014 to 2022, collecting 1,033 runs at an average of 33.32 with 2 centuries and 5 half-centuries. He even has a brilliant batting record against Australia in red-ball format,  making 1,979 runs at an average of 48.26, with eight tons and five fifties in the 24 Tests he played.

In an interview with Star Sports, Virat said, "Australian team is a very competitive side that if you give them even a small window, they will come very hard at you and capitalise. Their skill set is really high. That is the reason my motivation increases even more and I had to take my game to the next level against them. I have to rise and elevate my game against Australia to beat them."
