WATCH: Trapped in 'Nervous 90's', Rishabh Pant equals Rahul Dravid's 21-year-old feat

With back-to-back dismissals in the 90s, Rishabh Pant has equalled his India and U-19 coach and former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid’s 21-year-old unwanted feat

Young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant seems to have become the newest victim of the nervous 90s. After his maiden Test ton which came against England at Kennington Oval, Pant batted in two Test innings so far and lost his wicket after crossing the 90-run mark in both the innings.

In the on-going Test series against West Indies, the 21-year-old Delhi boy batted bravely at number 5 and provided the much-needed support in both the games. Coincidentally, he threw away his wickets after scoring 92 runs on both occasions.

During the first Test in Rajkot, he lost his wicket to spinner Devendra Bishoo, caught by Keemo Paul. While here in Hyderabad, he was caught again, by Shimron Hetmyer off Shannon Gabriel’s delivery.

Watch how Pant became the victim of the ‘Nervous 90s’ twice in the ongoing series:

With back-to-back dismissals in the 90s, Rishabh Pant has equalled his India A & U-19 coach and former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid’s 21-year-old unwanted feat. He has become the second Indian player to get dismissed in the 90s in successive innings after Dravid who got dismissed for 92 & 93 vs Sri Lanka in 1997.

Also, it’s the third consecutive 90+ run score by the young Indian wicketkeeper.
