As India prepare for the first IND vs AUS Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, a viral video shows Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah sweating it out at WACA during an intense training session.

India and Australia are going to face each other in what could turn out to be the most crucial World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 series. Team India are intensifying their preparations for the tough five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) as a video of rigorous practice sessions at Perth’s Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) Stadium has surfaced online. With the series opener set to start from November 22, Indian players are sparing no effort in getting ready.

A video going viral on social media showcased India’s intense training session, with Virat Kohli facing pace bowling and Jasprit Bumrah delivering in the nets at full tilt. 

The footage also features teammates Shubman Gill and Sarfaraz Khan while Team India coach Gautam Gambhir kept a close watch on the players.

For the unversed, the WACA Stadium has been completely surrounded by nets, making it nearly impossible for the public and media to view the practice sessions. Despite the tight security, a leaked video of star India players practising in the nets has surfaced on social media.

India In Dire Straits After 0-3 Loss To New Zealand

Rohit Sharma-led India face high stakes after a 0-3 home series defeat to New Zealand. To clinch a spot in the WTC final without depending on other results, India need to win the BGT by at least a 4-0 margin. This series presents India's last chance to secure a place in the final, making the upcoming matches crucial.

The first IND vs AUS Test of the series will begin in Perth, from November 22 to 26. The teams will then head to Adelaide Oval for the second Test, a Day/Night fixture set for December 6 to 10. The third Test will take place at The Gabba in Brisbane, from December 14 to 18. The fourth match (Boxing Day) is scheduled for the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), running from December 26 to 30, and the series will wrap up with the fifth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), from January 3 to 7.
