This Indian Woman Cricketer Is Richer Than Many Male Players

Among Indian women cricketers, Smriti Mandhana stands out not only for her batting but also as the richest female cricketer in the country.

The popularity of women’s cricket in India has grown rapidly in recent years, thanks to initiatives like the Women’s Premier League (WPL), launched in 2023 by the BCCI.

Among Indian women cricketers, Smriti Mandhana stands out not only for her batting but also as the richest female cricketer in the country. With an estimated net worth of ₹33 crore (around $4 million), she earns through a combination of her BCCI central contract, WPL salary, and brand endorsements.

Mandhana is in the BCCI’s Grade A contract list, earning ₹50 lakh annually. She was also the most expensive player in the inaugural WPL auction, signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹3.4 crore, and has earned more than ₹10 crore across three WPL seasons.

Apart from cricket salaries, her endorsement portfolio includes several major brands, adding substantially to her income. As the vice-captain of Team India, Mandhana is not only a key player on the field but also a face of women's cricket in India.

Mandhana returns to action in T20 Series vs England

Indian star opener Smriti Mandhana will next be seen in action during the India vs England women’s T20I series, starting June 28 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

Mandhana, who is currently India’s vice-captain, is expected to play a key role at the top of the order as the team builds towards the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Her experience and form will be crucial for India’s success in the five-match T20I series, followed by three ODIs.
