The 2023 edition of ICC Men's ODI World Cup will kickstart from October 5 in India. The ODI World Cup 2023 in India will be the 13th edition in the history of this mega 50-overs tournament. For the first time ever, India will host the entire ODI World tournament, without any co-hosts. ODI World Cup 2023 in India will be played across 10 cities of the country. Less than two months are left for the mega ICC event to begin and many former veteran players have started making their predictions regarding the tournament. Meanwhile, former Australian bowler Glenn McGrath, regarded as one of the greatest pace bowlers of all time, picked his 4 teams that will reach the semi-finals of ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 in India.
Glenn McGrath, a three-time World Cup-winner and leading wicket-taker in tournament's history, picked Pakistan, England, Australia and India as his top four teams for ODI World Cup 2023.
"You wouldn’t be surprised that I’m putting Australia in that four. Obviously, India are playing in their own conditions. England is playing some great cricket and Pakistan is also playing fine. So, they are the best four," McGrath was quoted in the Times of India.
The final match of the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023, starting from 5 October, will be played on 19th November at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium. The first match of the tournament will be played between defending champions England and New Zealand. Team India will begin their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign with a match against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. The much-awaited India vs Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 match will most likely be played on October 14 instead of October 15 due to Navratri celebrations in Ahmedabad, but it is yet to be officially confirmed.
