Mujeeb Ur Rahman's moving act of kindness even brought a young fan to tears, who expressed his emotions by hugging the star cricketer after the post-match presentation. The heartfelt moment between Mujeeb Ur Rahman and a young fan has been widely appreciated by fans all over the world. Notably, this was only the second victory for Afghanistan, playing its third ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 match in India.

Chasing 285 for the win, Afghanistan bowled out England for mere 215 runs. Sadly, earlier on the same day, a tragic event occurred in Afghanistan. A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 struck western region of Afghanistan, resulting in the loss of two lives. Over the past week, at least 1,000 people have lost their lives due to the quake series in Afghanistan, which began on October 7.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman picked three crucial wickets in ENG vs AFG World Cup fixture and contributing 28 runs with the bat. Upon winning Man of th Match award for his all-round heroics at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, the star Afghan player dedicated his award to the earthquake victims back home.

“This is for the people back home who have been affected by the earthquake. As players and as a team, I wanted to dedicate my award to them. “It’s a very proud moment to be here in the World Cup beating the last champions, it is a good moment for the whole nation and the team. A wonderful performance for the bowlers and the batters.” Mujeeb Ur Rahman said.
