Ranchi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s parents were tested positive for Covid-19. Both of them have recovered and have tested negative for the corona virus. MS Dhoni’s father Pan Singh and mother, Devki Singh were being treated at Pulse Super Specialty Hospital in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
CSK coach, Stephen Fleming had informed the press last Wednesday about the covid situation of MSD’s parents and also said that CSK is taking all possible care to ‘monitor’ the situation. "From the management point of view, we're well aware of his family situation and the support has been set up for MS and his family. The situation is under control for now but we will monitor that over the next few days,” said Fleming while addressing the question about MSD’s parents. He was speaking at the post-match presentation of CSK’s match against KKR.
Fleming also said that CSK, as a franchise is doing everything possible for bettering the situation. He said: "It's a tough time for everybody, and the fact that it's affecting India in the way it is but also it'll reach into the IPL with friends and family, and hopefully, not into the bubbles. We've spent quite a bit of time talking about the care of the friends and families in the wider group. We have that responsibility to make sure that he's got the support he needs and hope that his family recovers quickly.”
Nonetheless, the news about MS Dhoni’s parents being recovered from Covid-19 would make CSK fans extremely happy.
