Mohammad Shahzad trolled for getting run out after commenting on Virat's fitness

Shahzad's struggle against the Indian bowling attack was clearly visible. He managed to score 14, 13 in first and second innings respectively

Afghanistan’s wicketkeeper Mohammad Shahzad was in headlines lately after his statement on Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s diet. However, it seems that after getting run out during the debut Test against India on June 15, Shahzad became the butt of jokes on social media.

A few months ago, Shahzad stated that he has the abilities to hit bigger sixes than Kohli. Then why he should follow his diet.

When the 30-year-old wicketkeeper took the field against India at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, his struggle against the Indian bowling attack was clearly visible. Soon he lost his wicket while stealing a single inside the 30-yard circle. Hardik Pandya threw the ball in one quick motion while Shahzad fell short of the crease by a few feet.

After getting out twice on a single day, he was bound to face criticism for his fitness on social media.

Here’re some of the reactions:

During the second innings, Indian speedster Umesh Yadav removed him on a minimal score of 13 runs. Shahzad edged the ball which landed safely in the gloves of Dinesh Karthik.

Afghanistan lost the match to India by an innings and 262 runs.
