India vs SA 3rd T20I: Will Rain Play Spoilsport Again In Johannesburg? Check Update

The Indian team will be playing against the South Africa side in the final T20I of their three-match series in Johannesburg, on Thursday. The Proteas are leading the three-game T20I series by 1-0 as they won the second game against India. Rain played spoilsport in the first game and it was called off without a ball being bowled. Rain again chipped in the second game but then this time fans witnessed the result with the home side sealing the game by five wickets in Port Elizabeth, due to the DLS method.

The Men in Blue posted 180/7 in 19.3 overs after batting first. Rain then came in between and the South African side was given a revised target of 153 runs in 15 overs. For India, Rinku Singh starred with the bat as he played an unbeaten innings of 68 runs alongside Suryakumar Yadav who also collected 56 runs. It was Gerald Coetzee who grabbed three wickets for South Africa.

In reply, the South African side chased the target in just 13.5 overs. Reeza starred with the bat as he smashed 49 off 17 balls. Meanwhile, Mukesh Kumar picked up two wickets for the Indian side.

Talking about the weather for the third T20I on Thursday, there is no chance of rain with the temperature expected to be around 28 degrees Celsius during the day. Speaking about the Wanderers Stadium where the final match is set to be played, the Indian team have not lost more matches than they have won. They are level at 5-5 in Johannesburg.

South Africa on the other hand have a solid record at the Wanderers, as they have sealed victories in 65.98 percent of their matches, across all formats. Talking just before the match, India's Tilak Varma said, "It's always good to play in South Africa; it's quite challenging. We are well-prepared for these conditions, and we have actually batted well in a tough situation."
