IND vs ENG, 5th Test: Speculations Rife After Dinesh Karthik Tweets 'NO PLAY TODAY' In Manchester

IND vs ENG, 5th Test: Cricket fans were left confused after Dinesh Karthik tweeted saying that today's Test match has been postponed.

There are high speculations that Day 1 of the England vs India 5th Test match might be postponed. The speculations have become stronger after Dinesh Karthik tweeted that there will not be any play on Friday owing to the Covid-19 cases in the bio-bubble.

Uncertainty looms large over the start of the  Manchester Test as another support staff from the Indian cricket team tested Covid-19 positive on Thursday. The match is scheduled to be played on Friday at 3:30 pm IST. 

Take a look at Dinesh Karthik's series of tweets that has caused a storm on the internet:

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly told PTI that at the current moment he is unsure whether the fifth and final Test against England will go ahead or not. "We don't know if the match will happen at the moment. Hopefully, we can get some game," said Ganguly during a book launch event in Kolkata.

All the players and the support staff are fully vaccinated but both teams are not living in strict bio-bubbles.

The Indian team leads by 2-1 in the series so far.
