The second Test between India and Australia in Perth has been filled with notable moments, one of which involved former India captain Virat Kohli engaging in a heated exchange with the on-field umpire.

The incident occurred during the 58th over on Day 2, when Mitchell Marsh was struck on the pad by Ravichandran Ashwin. The on-field umpire ruled it not out, prompting captain Rohit Sharma to opt for a DRS review.

Replays suggested that the ball hit Marsh's pad before his bat, but third umpire Richard Kettleborough maintained there was "no conclusive evidence" to overturn the on-field decision.

Kohli, visibly frustrated, confronted on-field umpire Richard Illingworth over the decision, comparing it to a similar instance in the first Test in Perth involving KL Rahul, who was given out despite the presence of two noises during his dismissal.

"KL's was the same in Perth, two spikes. One was bat & one was pad," Kohli told the umpire.
