IND vs AFG Highlights, T20 World Cup 2024: India beat Afghanistan by 47 runs in their ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eights clash at Bridgetown in Barbados on Thursday (June 1). India won the toss and elected to bat first in what was their first outing in the Caribbean in the tournament. Opting to bat first, the Men in Blue posted 181/8 in their 20 overs riding on Suryakumar Yadav's 53 off 28 and Hardik Pandya's 32 off 24.
In response, Afghanistan lost early wickets and were never really able to recover. Jasprit Bumrah set up the tone for Team India while the spinners chipped in later, ensuring that the pressure that was exerted early was maintained throughout. It was a clinical performance in the end from Rohit Sharma & Co. despite the passage of play early on in their batting innings where runs seemed hard to come by and wicket fell at regular intervals.

Jasprit Bumrah Emerges As The Pick Of The Bowler Yet Again
Bumrah emerged as the pick of the bowlers yet again for Team India. While he scalped two wickets with the new ball, starting from one end with India going in without Mohammed Siraj in this match and getting the wickets of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Hazratullah Zazai with the new ball before coming back to remove Najibullah Zadran.
Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel were also among the wickets and played a part in India's win. Arshdeep Singh might not have started off well but came back to pick three wickets as India bowlers had a gala time in the second half of the match, eventually bowling Afghanistan out for 134.

For Afghanistan, Rashid Khan and Fazalhaq Farooqi scalped 3 wickets apiece, conceding 26 and 33 runs respectively but that was not enough for them to end up on the winning side.
