ICC Announce 15-Member Panel Of Match Officials For ICC Champions Trophy 2025

International Cricket Council (ICC), on Wednesday, have announced the 15-member panel for the match officials at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 co-hosted by Pakistan and UAE.

The mega event will be held at four different venues: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai, and defending champions Pakistan will be looking to become the first side since Australia (2006; 2009) to win consecutive CT titles.

All the 8 participating sides have already announced their squad for the mega event, and ICC now join-in by annoucning the official match officials-panel.

The panel will have the likes of highly-experienced umpires such as Kumar Dharmasena, Richard Illingworth, Richard Kettleborough to name a few, and veteran match referee, David Boon.

Only 6 umpires have managed to make into back-to-back ICC Champions Trophy editions, and here are those 6 umpires:

• Kumar Dharmasena
• Richard Illingworth
• Richard Kettleborough
• Chris Gaffaney
• Rodney Tucker
• Paul Reiffel

It will be interesting to see if Richard Illingworth and Richard Kettleborough manage to officiate yet another 50-over mega event final, as the duo officiated the ICC Men's ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 Final between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
