England cricket team's star opener Tom Banton played a heroic 71-run knock to put the hosts in a commanding position in the Eng vs Pak 1st T20 before the match was called off due to incessant rains. After a dismal performance in the Test series, Babar Azam-led Pakistan made a strong comeback in the shorter format and proved why they are known as a strong bowling side as their spinners turned its screw on the hosts after Banton’s departure and took four wickets for 14 runs in 19 balls before the stoppage.
Spinners Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan both claimed two victims each while Iftikhar Ahmed trapped skipper Eoin Morgan lbw. Meanwhile, Dawid Malan was run out for 23.
Match Prediction: Both teams have great batsmen but are prone to collapse. Pakistan may not have the upper hand when it comes to batting but their lethal bowling attack led by Mohammad Amir might help his national team turn the tables this time and make amends for the loss in Test series. But, England's much better looking batting lineup could once again stun the Pak bowlers.
