ICC CWC League 2 2023-27: It was yet another 'Oman match' which saw a unique record tumbling, but this time, Oman are at the beneficiary end of it, as Bilal Khan becomes the fastest bowler to scalp 100 ODI wickets, surpassing previous record holder Shaheen Afridi. The Pakistani left-arm fast bowler achieved the feat in 51 matches, one less than previous record holder, Australian legend Mitchell Starc.

However, Bilal Khan becomes the first fast bowler in the history of ODI's to scalp 100 wickets under the mark of 50 matches, with him achieving the feat in 49 matches, and his 100th wicket came in the Oman Vs Namibia match of the ongoing ICC CWC League 2 2023-27. He is now at third in the all-time list of fastest bowlers to achieve the feat, with Nepal's Sandeep Lamichhane leading the pack with 42 matches, followed by Afghanistan legend Rashid Khan with 44 matches.

Oman have finally managed to win their first game in the ICC CWC League 2 2023-27, as they defeated Namibia by 4 wickets in the match on Wednesday, and with the win, they open their account for the win column. Practically, Oman was on a three-match losing streak, but the rain gods saved the side from a thumping defeat against Scotland in their first match of the competition, as the match was called off and abandoned.
