Surya is currently taking part in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia. After making his international debut in 2021, the Mumbai-based batter has been constantly making headlines with his hitting ability. In 2022, he came the first Indian batsman to get 1000 runs in a calendar year in T20Is.
As a result, Surya made it into the Indian test squad. The stylish batter even got a chance in playing XI in the first Test vs Australia in Nagpur. But unfortunately, he could not make it count as he only scored 8 runs. India’s Mr 360 also became the first player to debut for India in all three formats after the age of 30 or more.
Earlier, Yadav went to Tirupati after making his Test debut along with his wife. He visited the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple and sought blessings. Surya will be playing in IPL 2023 for Mumbai Indians starting next month. Mumbai Indians will start their campaign by playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first match.
