Australia Women Vs South Africa Women 3rd ODI - Match Report
Electing to bat first at the North Sydney Oval in Sydney on Saturday, February 10, Australia Women had a clear motive of putting on a big total and take advantage of the batting conditions and did so, as the Alyssa Healy-led side managed to score 277 during their 50 overs, at the loss of 9 wickets. An unbeaten 82 from ever-consistent Beth Mooney, alongside handy knocks from Alyssa Healy and Tahila McGrath helped Australia Women register a huge total as both sides walked into the decisive fixture with series levelled 1-1.
In reply, South Africa Women couldn't do much and played second-fiddle to Australia as they did in the first innings as well as Australian Women ran apart their batting order as a dismal outing by the Proteas Women restricted the side to 52/4 and after rain intervened, the target was reduced to 238 in 31 overs.
South Africa were bundled out for 127 within 24.3 overs as it took Australia Women merely three bowlers to scalp all 10 wickets. Alana King (4 wickets), Tahila McGrath (3 wickets), and Kim Garth (3 wickets) did the job for the Australians as they registered a 110-run victory via D/L Method and with the victory, sealed the One Day International series 2-1.
Australia Women will now face South Africa Women in a one-off Test match starting February 15.
