The video of Stokes' incredible six-hitting went viral on social media in no time.

This is Ben Stokes' first match since taking over as England captain and he enjoyed a stellar performance on the second day of the County Championship. The 30-year-old, who came out to bat at the number six spot, hammered a total of ten sixes and seven fours during his century.

Stokes remained unbeaten (147 runs off 82 balls) at lunch on Day 2 of play as Durham was 549/4.

"I personally feel that going back to No.6 is going to allow me to concentrate on those roles as much as the other, rather than worry about one while I am doing the other. I feel that's best for the team," Stokes was quoted saying by The Cricketer.
