On the day of Shani Amavasya, take a holy dip in a sacred river before sunrise. After this, offer water to Surya Dev using a copper vessel.

Those experiencing Shani’s Sade Sati or Dhaiya should perform Tarpan, Pind Daan, and worship the Peepal tree on this day to reduce Shani’s malefic effects.

Offering mustard oil and black sesame seeds to Shani Dev on Shani Amavasya is considered highly auspicious. After the offering, chant the mantra "Om Sham Shanicharaya Namah" 108 times. It is believed that this helps in reducing the negative effects of Sade Sati and Dhaiya.
