- 1 Cup Phool Makhana (foxnuts)
- 1 Cup Curd (beaten)
- 1 Teaspoon Sendha Namak (rock salt)
- 1 Tablespoon Ghee or Peanut Oil
- 0.5 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 Piece Green Chilli
- 0.5 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 0.5 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 Piece Potato (boiled)
- Water
- Fresh Coriander Leaves
Cooking Instructions
Take a non-stick pan and heat 1tsp ghee in it. Once done, add the phool makhanas and roast them on low flame. Wait till they are crispy. Then, set aside.
In the same pan, add more ghee and then saute cumin seeds, chopped green chilli, and ginger for a few seconds.
Toss in the boiled potatoes and cook for about 2-3 minutes.
Lower the flame and slowly add beaten curd while stirring continuously. Add sendha namak, black pepper, and coriander powder.
Allow the curry to cook for about 5 minutes. After than, add in the roasted makhanas. Mix it well and let it simmer for another couple of minutes, till the makhanas absorb flavours.
