  • 2 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • Lemon
  • Ghee or Oil
  • Water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Take a bowl and mix flour, salt, and ghee in it. Rub the ghee into flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add water slowly to make a smooth dough. Cover and leave it for about 15 minutes.

Step 2

After that, divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a rectangle or oval shape. Fold or twist gently to form layers.

Step 3

Take a deep pan and heat oil or ghee in it. Once it's hot, fry the Goja pieces on low heat.

Step 4

Take another pan and add sugar and water in it. Boil it until you get the one string consistency. Add cardamom powder to it and then, add a few drops of lemon juice.

Step 5

Dip the fried Goja into the sugar syrup. Soak them for about a couple of minutes. Then, remove and place on a tray to cool and set them.

Step 6

Serve it at room temperature and enjoy.
