  • 200 Gram Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 Cup Chickpea Flour
  • 2 Tablespoon Rice Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger (grated)
  • 2 Piece Green Chillies
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Pinch Hing
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

To prepare the dough, first take a large bowl and mix chickpea flour, rice flour, ginger, chopped green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, hing, and salt. Mix everything well, then add chopped coriander leaves.

Step 2

Add water gradually to the dry mixture to form a dough.

Step 3

Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into cylindrical shapes or shape into round balls.

Step 4

Roll the balls in sesame seeds to add flavour and crispiness.

Step 5

Take a plate and grease it with little oil. Place the shaped dough onto the tray and steam for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 6

Once cooked, allow them to cool down and them cut into smaller pieces.

Step 7

Heat oil in a deep frying pan and add the steamed vadis into it. Wait till they turn golden brown and crispy.

Step 8

Remove the fried vadis from the oil and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Step 9

Serve the Kothimbir Vadis with chutney or sauce and enjoy the flavours.
