Ingredients

  • 2 Piece Beetroot
  • 1 Cup Potato
  • 4 Tablespoon Breadcrumbs or Oat Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 2 Pinch Red Chilli Powder
  • 0.5 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 Piece Green Chilli
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Lemon Juice
  • Salt

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

To prepare the mixture, first grate the beetroots and boil the potatoes. Then mash the potatoes.

Step 2

After that, take a large bowl, combine the grated beetroots and mashed potatoes.

Step 3

Then, add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, green chillies, coriander leaves, and ginger-garlic paste to the beetroot potato mixture.

Step 4

Mix all the ingredients properly and add salt and a squeeze of lemon.

Step 5

You can also add breadcrumbs or oat flour to the mixture if it's too wet. It will help in binding it properly.

Step 6

Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round or oval cutlets.

Step 7

Take a non-stick pan and heat a tablespoon of oil in it. Once it's hot place the cutlets in the pan.

Step 8

Cook the cutlets on medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy.

Step 9

Once they're cooked place it on paper towel to remove excess oil. Serve it with green chutney or yogurt dip.
