Mumbai Building Collapse PICTURES: 40-50 People Feared Trapped As 4-storey Building Collapses In Dongri, Rescue Operation Underway

Search and rescue operation underway at Dongri building collapse site.

Around 40 to 50 occupants of the building are feared trapped under the debris.

A visual from the site where the Fire Brigade, police and disaster management teams have rushed to the site and launched rescue operations.

The G+4 building 'Kesarbai' situated near Tandel street, behind Abdul Hamid Shah Dargah, Dongri.

A team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) also reached the site to help in the rescue work.

Rescue operations are underway to pull out the people who are trapped under the debris.

"We have moved five of our vehicles to the spot. It was Kesarbai building in Dongri which is a four-floor structure. We are still waiting for other details," fire brigade officials said.

According to preliminary information, the ground-plus-four-storey 'Kesarbai' building, located on Tandel Street in Dongri crashed today at around 11.40 am.

Fire brigade, Mumbai Police and civic officials rushed to the site to carry out the rescue operation.
