Bindu who identifies herself as a bisexual claimed that this was the first instance of sologamy in India and her intention behind such a practice was to break stereotypes and inspire others who are tired of finding love. Image Source: Instagram

She adorned bridal make-up, mehendi, and a saree and took part in rituals infront of the sacred fire, all by herself. She also performed seven pheras, applied sindoor, and took seven vows which she wrote for herself. Image Source: Instagram

A working professional, Bindu had to face backlash also for her decision as vice president of BJP unit of Vadodara, Sunita Sharma announced that such a marriage will not be allowed to take place in any temple. She alleged Bindu of "corrupting" minds of Hindu youth. Image Source: Instagram

Bindu's says that her mother who lives in another city gave her consent for this one-of-a-kind groomless wedding.
